Audience Research Hospital Scene

Audience Research Hospital Scene
This is to illustrate the audience research we carried, to identify which hospital was fit for out title sequence, and which they would much rather prefer. As we usually do we disgusted the hospital scene with our fellow classmates along with other students in the sixth form, the hospital with the most response was 'St Thomas Hospital' due to it being a night scene, the audience said it created tension and went along the conventions of a thriller/crime scene as most crimes and hospital scene take place in the night. Harry was recording the responses he then went away and a produced a chart to show the results clearly.

Hospital Shoot

After disguising the hospital scene with the class, we decided that it would be useful to actually set the scene with a hospital shot, to make it much more clear to audience where exactly the scene was set. Below are the pictures of the footage we took of the two hospitals in London. Which were 'St Thomas Hospital' and 'Chelsea and Westminster hospital' we felt it was the better decision to have more than one hospital as there can be a choice and we can then leave it up to the audience to choose which hospital they would like to see in our title sequence, this in turn would be effected to our audience as they would feel like their input is being accounted for. Its safe to say that both hospitals have pros and cons however the both for different reasons 'St Thomas's' looks very effective where it has been shot at night which fits perfect with our film and it creates quite and tense atmosphere but on the other-hand 'Chelsea and Westminster hospital' also works quite well as it includes a London taxi which is very iconic for a British movie.

Feedback on Title Sequence

Feedback

This was the feedback we got back from the class. Most of the class thought our title sequence had potential. They all like our sound track because it set the mood of what type of film it would be. However they didn't like the fact that our title was repetitive, and suggested that we move some of the scenes early into our title sequence, for them to have an idea of whats to come next. They also suggested we added scenes to fully establish were the setting is in at the hospital.

This feed back was good because it has help us develop and further our own ideas. We look to change our title and get more feedback from the class soon.

This was the feedback we got.

Burning money Scene

Burning Money
I think that this scene was very successful, and I am happy about this as it is one of our main and establishing scenes which tell the story. And the scene its self was successfully shot the first time as we got the lighting right, the props and the right camera angles. We took we had loads of takes from the shoot however we made sure that the burning of the money was spot on as we couldn't redo the scene. We also managed to get a dramatic ending from the scene we will assess if its good enough to be the ending.

These are some images we took during the shoot.
